Gay Oklahoma City - Habana Inn

In our travels to both the East Coast and the West Coast everyone always asks the same question to us. Where to party in the Midwest? We always tell them the best two places to party in the Midwest is Chicago and Oklahoma City. Oklahoma City???? Yep, Oklahoma City is the major gay capital of the Midwest. Hard to believe? Well perhaps, however unless you have been there you certainly will not believe that in the bible belt of Oklahoma is this fabulous gay Mecca. We have been going to Oklahoma City to party for over 25 years. The HABANA INN Resort there has been a gay resort for over 25 years. It is the Midwest's largest all gay resort. It is a two story complex. The rooms are spacious and extremely inexpensive. Their rates begin at just $44.95 per room. It is a totally gay resort. Lush tropical plants and trees surround the pool areas. Gays from all over the Midwest have been going there for years. And it is busy 7 days a week, not just on weekends. Lounge around the pool area and…

Book Review on Best Selling Author: Robert Hofmann

review by Donald Pile and Ray Williams

There are three books that you simply MUST purchase. SURROUNDED BY INSANITY, AN ORDINARY MADNESS and ONE BRAIN CELL AWAY FROM RETARDED. In our travels from coast to coast we get to meet so many wonderful and exciting people including authors and we had the opportunity to meet Robert Hofmann when we were staying at the Grand Resort and Spa in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Robert's books are the types of books that once you start reading, you won't want to put them down until you have completely finished reading them. Each is absolutely hilarious! They are biographical stories of the author's experience thru his life with his early childhood and growing up with friends and family. Robert grew up in New Jersey and what a wild and crazy and interesting wild he has had. Between his family and friends, he guides the reader thru many exciting episodes of his life. It is wickedly, bitchy and …

JASON TRUMAN - 'Artist - Extraordaire'

In our travels from coast to coast we often attend art shows whenever we can. Sometimes we do not have to travel far to attend them. We attended one in greater Kansas City this past weekend and found the great art work of a particular very talented artist, Jason Truman who lives in greater Kansas City. Jason has been a dedicated artist for several years. He specializes in portraits and fantasy illustrations and he works in “All Things Graphite”. People were lined up to view his artwork at the art show. Sales were rather brisk as art patrons knew they were purchasing something special by an artist that is on the rise.

Jason uses a graphite pencil utilizing his knowledge in the art world to create his masterpieces on paper. He also produces sketch cards, finished for the Comics, for Cures charity auction and for Blue Line Pro. He is extremely talented and his works with the male torso is unbelievable. He also has a Star Trek series in addition to regular portraits.
You can visit Jason…

Grand Resort and Spa - Fort Lauderdale, FL

We have stayed at dozens of gay owned resorts from coast to coast. Most are very professionally operated while a few are an embarrassment. We have been staying at the Grand Resort and Spa in Ft. Lauderdale for the past 10 years and without a doubt, it is THE most professionally operated gay resort in the country. The Grand Resort and Spa is Fort Lauderdale’s largest and finest gay men’s resort hotel, located just steps from the beach and convenient to all the attractions and nightlife in Ft. Lauderdale. As Ft. Lauderdale’s first gay resort with its’ own full-service day spa and hair studio, they can offer their guests an experience that is unique and wonderfully indulgent.

When you first call them every staff member is extremely professional, friendly and courteous. They follow up with emails. When checking in, the staff is extremely professional, friendly and courteous. They take nothing for granted and they do anything and everything to make each guest feel very special. We are the…

LGBT Life in Lebanon

Lebanon is a melting pot of European, Mediterranean, East and West cultures. The St. Georges Beach and Marina is the best example of this and is the best place for those who wish to mix and mingle with the locals. Here the hottest guys the city has to offer lounge around in their swimwear. Sadly photography is not permitted but Zaitunay Bay is THE marina in Lebanon where the largest yachts and all that goes with them can be found. At the end of the yacht basin is the Hotel St. George, the “in” spot in the 1960s, now a derelict shell caught in disputes with local investors. This is also the neighbourhood of the former Holiday Inn hotel, partly destroyed by mortars decades ago and the place where a car bomb killed Rafik Hariri, the former prime minister, in 2005. A walk along the promenade is an absolute delight at night with the amazing lights!

Beirut is a safe and fun place. Arabs from the Golf States and Iranian tourists fear driving through Syria but still do so as this is by far …

Traveling In Our Fabulous Gay World: The Naomi Wilzig Collection - World Erotic Art Museum

We have just found one of the most unusual, interesting and exciting museums in the world. In our travels from coast to coast we have NEVER visited such a fabulous museum. Located in Miami Beach, Florida at 1205 Washington Avenue, owner Naomi Wilzig has created a world class museum featuring erotic art in all forms. We do need to state that this is NOT a "porno" collection but an "erotic art" collection. They are made out of wood, porcelain, glass, ivory, bronze, silver and every conceivable substance known to man.

There are over 4,000 artifacts in the museum which includes biblical, mythological, antiques, Japanese, Chinese, Indian, African, Ethnographic, South American, European/Victorian, Art Nouveau/Deco, Saloon/pin up, Gay and Lesbian, Surrealism , Folk Art, Fetish, as well as modern masters and contemporary art. Many of the Gay and Lesbian artifacts dates back centuries as well as modern items.
The museum is housed in a high tech designed museum with over 12,…

Traveling In Our Fabulous Gay World - Santa Fe

Santa Fe is so interesting and exciting. The city was established in 1610 and is one of the oldest cities in the country. The elevation is 7,000 feet. Everyone is welcome in Santa Fe. You won’t see very many gay flags as they don’t need any. Actually it is the most gay-friendly cities in the country.

We always stay at the Inn of the Turquoise Bear which is owned by Robert Frost and Ralph Bolton. It is the estate of the former Witter Bynner, the famous poet and author who lived there for over 40 years. Actually the Inn is a “compound” with an adobe wall all around it. It is located just a few blocks of the downtown Plaza. You are really stepping back in time when staying there. Their guest list reads like a who’s who in the arts, entertainment and writers. We have met so many extremely interesting guests over the years staying there. This is just a very grand place to stay when visiting Santa Fe. Actually we think that is the ONLY place to stay in Santa Fe. Their website is www.turquo…

Last year the first ever Prague Pride was organized amid political controversy, when Czech president Václav Klaus openly criticized having a Pride event in the capital of the Czech Republic. In spite of his statements the first Prague Pride was an overwhelming success, with more than 25.000 visitors. The event turned out to be a human rights manifestation as well as a celebration all over the city, which had a lasting impression on all those present.

Prague Pride 2012 will be held from 13 to 19 August 2012 on various attractive locations in the Czech capital. The ambition of the organizing team is to attract an even higher number of visitors than last year. With 7 days filled with entertainment, debates, concerts, exhibitions, theatre and more, Prague Pride 2012 will represent the Czech LGBT+ community in its full colour and diversity. With Prague Pride still being a relatively new event, it has a fresh atmosphere of activism combined with fun, which can no longer be found in many ot… Announces Travel Sponsorship for San Diego Pride

Duane Street Hotel - Home-like Atmosphere in the Middle of NYC Business

New York City is one of the most amazing places on the planet, but it can also be one of the more overwhelming. There are seemingly an unlimited number of options for everything, and choosing a hotel can be a daunting task, to say the least. Once in a while, you find yourself in a hotel that has it all and you realize that every time you come to the city you realize you have a New York home. The Duane Street Hotel is my New York home.

Situated downtown in Tribeca at 130 Duane Street, The Duane Street Hotel is a little gem that embraces its visitor from the moment you walk in. My recent stay there had me pleasantly surprised when I walked into a modern-looking hotel lobby and felt smiles and a friendly “Hello” from the front desk and the bar, which was situated nearby. The relatively small lobby area wasn’t stifling and I felt inclined to pop down with a cocktail or a coffee and chat with the other guests lounging around.

The homey atmosphere of the hotel still did not set in with me …
