Matt Skallerud Does World Pride Madrid 2017
Our team here at Pink Banana Media has decided to start writing from a more personal angle on our adventures and travels throughout the world, especially as they relate to LGBTQ Travel. Included will be embedded social media posts along the way.
While there, I had a chance to catch up with some of the various LGBT media groups being escorted throughout Madrid during World Pride 2017, including these lovely LGBT influencers!
My adventures with World Pride 2017 in Madrid started upon arrival on Wednesday evening, June 28th, when Richard and I arrived in Madrid and got ourselves settled in at the cozy Marriott Princesa hotel. We immediately headed on down to the Chueca area of Madrid, where we met up with our friends for dinner and drinks, just to get ourselves started and oriented on the Madrid way of life!

The next morning I headed straight on down for the NYC press conference, where they announced the exciting news that World Pride 2019 was to be held in New York City!

Later that afternoon, a group of us attended the IGLTA World Pride 2017 reception at Cardamomo, where we not only networked, but had a fantastic Flamenco performance and a meet & greet with the Warwick Rowers.

The next day, Saturday, was the World Pride 2017 Parade... I had the opportunity to ride on the #AmorArgentina float, which was an experience unto itself! It was there where I caught up with Ana Ramiro of Spain Tourism, hanging out with Fabrice... in addition, I finally had the chance to meet Sergio Scardia, the Scruffy Italian LGBT influencer from Italy!

But nothing rivaled the experience of arriving through a crowd of millions along the World Pride 2017 parade route, which went on for miles!
